    Cats to go Vegan?

    Tuesday, December 22, 2009, 12:45 AM [General]

It looks like our furry and feline friends are the latest subjects of a following-the-PETA-mantra; they are being fed with only vegetables by their Vegan owners.  I almost fell on my seat when I read this on a custom essay yesterday.

I mean, come on, cats NEED protein in order to continue to be the adorable cats that they are.  Contrary to us humans, we can skip on protein or meat but the poor cats can’t.  I am not saying that they should not eat veggies, but not all the time.  It is not in their nature and genetic makeup to only eat vegetables.  However, I am comfortable knowing that they get to eat plants once in a while, but again, not all the time.

An acquaintance of mine who works in the essay writing services sector is a Vegan has a cat for 10 years.  She is a class 3 Vegan and is a bit outraged by the emerging trend of grooming cats to be vegans. She said that cats will go blind if they do not get a stable supply of protein which might lead to their deaths.  I trust her opinion as she loves Felicia (the cat) with all her life and limb.

Let’s leave the poor kitties alone; cat-owners have the responsibility to take care of their pets’ well-beings, and making them eat something that that will jeopardize their health is a total contradiction to that responsibility.
